Let it go, let it go, let it go!

I was reading an article by Mike Robbins recently about blame and it prompted me to think about how often we play the victim and blame others in our day to day lives.

I often watch conversations unfold at work about situations that did not play out as they should have.

For whatever reason, these events did not have a positive outcome, and people immediately started pointing fingers and placing blame.

When you blame and assume the victim role, you don't have to make changes, you don't have to be a leader, you don't have to look within yourself for ways to be proactive instead of reactive - you don't have to take responsibility!

What would happen if we stepped up to the plate and put an end to blame? What would happen if we took responsibility for our actions and our reactions? What would our lives look like?

If we let go of blame, it allows us to take control, to feel freedom from negative emotions, to finally take the first step of healing and moving forward!

Look at your life and ask yourself if you are playing the victim, if you are blaming others so you don't have to take responsibility.

Who are you blaming right now?
How different would your life look if you took back control?

Empower yourself today and let it go, let it go, let it go!

Come out, come out where ever you are....

Last week, one of my dear friends was unpacking boxes from a recent move when she discovered that 17 pieces were missing from a very sentimental collection she had acquired over the years.

Those pieces were a connection to her past, to her childhood, to her grandmother who had passed away.

She had moved several times in the last several years and the possibilities of where they could be were endless. Her mind raced as she traced her journeys, the places she had lived and the people who might have come into contact with them.

She was beside herself wondering what could have happened to her prized possessions, the thought literally made her sick!

Have you ever experienced a time in your life when you couldn’t find something? It might have been your car keys, your wallet, your pet or worse yet, a loved one?

The sheer panic of the unknown is worse than facing the truth and moving forward in whatever direction needs to be taken.

In order to think straight, you need to maintain a sense of calm. You have to take the emotional charge or zing out of the situation.

Once that is achieved, you think more rationally, enabling you to make decisions in regards to the course of action you need to take. Or it enables you to sit back and let the situation unfold if you have no control over the immediate circumstances.

So, how do you remove that emotional zing? How do you remain calm in a situation that has your mind and heart racing?

The following tapping script will help calm your nerves in any situation that leaves you feeling panicked.

Remember to change the words in this script to fit your situation and your feelings. Make it as personal and descriptive as you can and repeat as often as necessary to get the desired results.

Mirror Mirror on the wall.....

I confess I hate to shop! Yes, I am a woman and I hate to shop!

I needed to buy a new bathing suit recently, something I hadn’t shopped for in several years. There was a great sale last week, so I bit the bullet and drove to the mall knowing this was going to rank right up there with a root canal!

I found several racks with so many choices I didn’t know where to start. I gathered into my arms what looked great on the rack, keeping in mind my body was a little fleshier than the rack….ok….a LOT fleshier.

I sought out the nearest dressing room that didn’t have a long line of women and surprisingly that day, there was no line! Woo hoo, maybe it wasn’t going to be as bad as I had anticipated!

I entered the dressing room, stood in front of the mirror and it hit me…..I remembered why I hated shopping. Fluorescent lights were NOT a girl’s best friend! Ugh!

As I stood there analyzing every bump and bulge, I started to think about how women are so hard on themselves. The negative self talk is horrible. If I talked about my friends the way I talked about my body, I wouldn’t have any friends!

We need to be kinder to ourselves and find a way to accept our bodies.

The negative self talk runs like a virus in our head every time we look in the mirror. We have been doing it for so long, it has become a bad habit - we do it subconsciously.

We need to reprogram our self talk and stop the body hate!

"Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. If the beholder is you, then it's really up to you to see yourself beautiful! "

The following tapping script will help you turn off the negative talk – start loving yourself today. If you don’t, no one else will!

Remember to change the words in this script to fit your situation and your feelings. Make it as personal and descriptive as you can.

If you are new to this blog and unfamiliar with the tapping process, please see the "introduction to tapping" link at the top of this page. It will provide you with everything you need to know!

Start your day over whenever you want!

We all have days when we don’t want to get out of bed; some of us more than others.

The important thing to remember is that no matter how bad you feel, no matter what time of the day it is, you have the choice to start it all over.

The universe always hears and responds to our vibrations and it’s up to us to choose our feelings.

At any given moment you can choose to focus on something that makes you feel good, listen to some music, focus on nature, read an inspirational quote, use aroma therapy or find some other way to raise your vibration.

What are you feeling right now? Do you want to stay in that feeling or do you want to feel better?

Make the choice to start over right now. Do whatever it takes to get back on track.

The following tapping script may jump start your day or help you to start it over!
